Myrtle Beach is home to many outstanding Myrtle Beach golf courses and one of the most popular is Beachwood Golf Club. The Gene Hamm designed course opened in 1968 and has been a favorite among locals and visiting golfers since.
Beachwood is also known as the one of the “Friendliest Courses” with its entire staff dedicated to make your Myrtle Beach golf experience memorable.
The course itself features wide, generous fairways, beautiful greens and plenty of challenge for all levels of golfers. The course winds through towering Carolina Pines, lakes and beautiful landscaping and flowers. One unique feature for Beachwood is that unlike many other Myrtle Beach golf courses the fairways are not bordered by housing, only beautiful natural views. Wildlife is abundant at Beachwood with its natural setting.
Beachwood is very conveniently located on Hwy.17 in North Myrtle Beach giving easy access to many other Myrtle Beach attractions. A fully stocked pro shop and snack bar will ensure that your needs will be met. Looking for a Myrtle Beach golf lesson? Longtime PGA professional Jim Campbell can certainly help with that on the outstanding practice facility that features a grass teeing area, two practice putting and chipping greens and practice bunkers.
When playing Beachwood you will enjoy the outstanding Myrtle Beach weather and you may want to take advantage of some of the world renowned North Myrtle Beach attractions, such as the Ocean Drive section of North Myrtle Beach (Home of “The Shag”, South Carolina’s state dance), Barefoot Landing or the beautiful white sandy beaches along the Atlantic Ocean.

Beachwood Golf Club Golfer Reviews & Ratings
Have been playing this course every Thurs all summer long and into the fall. We only play 9 holes, but sometimes the front and sometimes the back and the course is great. Not a difficult course but still some challenging holes. Really look forward to our Thurs evenings on this course
I played Beachwood recently and was pleasantly surprised. The overall course was in very nice shape. The greens had been aerified a few weeks earlier but had recovered nicely and seemed to be a little faster than in the past which is good. Nice friendly staff.
