Since 1971, Eagle Nest Golf Course has been a favorite of locals and visitors. Located just off Hwy 17 in Little River, this 18-hole Championship Myrtle Beach golf course is just a short drive from North Myrtle Beach and all the oceanfront accommodations that Myrtle Beach Golf Authority has for your group to choose from when planning your Myrtle Beach golf package.
Eagle Nest Golf Course is set on 250 acres of wonderful land consisting of natural lakes, trees and of course wildlife. Named appropriately after a nest for an Eagle that remained even through some of the roughest weather in the area before being destroyed by Hurricane Hugo back in 1989, Eagle Nest Golf Course was designed by Gene Hamm. Back in 2001 the course underwent renovations to the greens when they were changed to MiniVerde grass, making sure the putts roll smooth on the large undulating greens.
Eagle Nest Golf Course was founded by the late SC State Senator Dick Elliott, who took great pride in this golf course. During your round of golf, you will notice the natural landscape and wildlife around the entire 18 holes. Dogwoods, Cypress trees, towering pines, a large variety of flowers and various ospreys and birds will welcome you during your time spent on the golf course. Eagle Nest is home to the “3 toughest finishing holes on the Grand Strand” with 16, 17 and 18. These 3 holes require superior shot selection and placement but are fair for golfers of all skill levels.
Be sure to get to the golf course with plenty of time before your round to enjoy the range and practice putting green. It’s the perfect place to warm up for your day on the links. Pick up a hat or sleeve of balls from the fully stocked pro shop or grab a souvenir for those that couldn’t make it on your Myrtle Beach golf vacation. You can’t go wrong with putting Eagle Nest Golf Course on your list of places to play on your next Myrtle Beach golf package.
