There is no better way to bond with your kids this summer than enjoying a round of golf together. It is a game that instills the virtues of patience, perseverance and good sportsmanship in all who play it. It is an opportunity to slow down in this fast-paced world and take stock of the things that truly matter in life. And, if you are a parent traveling to the Myrtle Beach area for vacation this summer, it is also an affordable way to entertain your kids for the day.
As part of a special program launched by the Myrtle Beach golf community called “Kids Play Free”, your kids can enjoy a free round of golf when you book your tee time at one of 50 Grand Strand golf courses. At any participating course, junior golfers, ages sixteen years or younger, can play golf for free provided they are accompanied by a paying adult. Individual courses set their own policies regarding this program. Some courses extend the offer to golfers under the age of eighteen while others limit the promotion to afternoon tee times only.
“The Kids Play Free program is one of our most rewarding initiatives because it enhances the vacation experience, and it introduces golf’s next generation of players to Myrtle Beach,” said Bill Golden, chief executive officer of Golf Tourism Solutions.
Some of Myrtle Beach’s premier layouts participate in the program, including such phenomenal courses as Arcadian Shores Golf Club, Glen Dornoch Waterway Links, Heritage Golf Club, and Tidewater Plantation. The program also includes all twenty-two Founder’s Group International courses.
If you’re a parent wanting to hit the links with your kids this summer, then select any participating courses when you build your own custom golf package today with the Myrtle Beach Golf Authority.
