Brick Landing Plantation Golf Club is scheduled to close this coming New Year’s.
The course’s owner—Larry Doyle—announced on Tuesday his intention to close Brick Landing if he still owns the course by January 1st. This announcement comes following Doyle’s efforts to sell the course for over two years.
At present, Doyle has two prospective buyers interested in purchasing the golf course. The first interested party has been negotiating with Doyle for several months and intends to close the golf course permanently. Recently, however, a second prospective buyer has come forward who intends to keep the course open.
Situated just a short drive from North Myrtle Beach in beautiful Ocean Isle, NC, Brick Landing Plantation Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-71 championship course. Opened in 1987, the course was originally designed by famed course architect–HM Brazeal—but was later redesigned by Dan Maples.
Known affectionately as “The Brick”, this stunning 6,600-yard course buts against the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway. Its lush fairways wind their way through acres of pristine rolling wetlands, offering golfers both impeccable views and a thrilling challenge. The course’s immaculately manicured greens are thickly seeded with Jones Hybrid Bermuda grass, ensuring every putt rolls true.
The most striking feature of this impeccable course is the gorgeous plantation-style clubhouse. In addition to offering a full-service driving range and putting course, it’s scenic waterfront restaurant—known simply as “The View”—has repeatedly been voted one of Ocean Isle Beach “must visit” attractions.
