Father-Son tournament changing opening day 2013 format

 For the 16th playing of the annual Golf Dimensions National Father & Son Team Classic a Texas Scramble format will be introduced in the opening round. Using 60-percent of individual handicaps Texas Scramble will be replacing the tournament’s customary Alternate Shot format in the first round for the July 18-20, 2013 event.

New courses for the 2013 event include Wild Wing Plantation, the Myrtle Beach National King’s North course, Burning Ridge Golf Club and Crow Creek Golf Club. More than 800 players participated in 2012 on eight area courses.
