With the Super Bowl soon to be behind us and hopefully the cold weather, it is time to be thinking of spring and what every real golf fan loves, the MASTERS. While we all anticipate the Masters, we here in North Myrtle Beach also look forward to the Monday After the Masters. If you have never attended “MAM” you don’t know what you are missing.
Monday After the Masters started as a small get together to raise money for charity in 1994 and has evolved into one of the most popular celebrity pro-am golf tournaments in the country. The event attracts thousands of people who enjoy the music of the two-time Grammy award winners, Hootie & the Blowfish as well as the friendly competition between the band and their celebrity and PGA professional friends. The tournament is not only great fun for everyone who plays and attends the tournament, but it also has raised in excess of $4.5 million for the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation, which supports the educational needs of South Carolina and the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation.
The tournament features athletes, musicians, actors and pro golfers and has 36 fivesomes that will all have a junior golfer as a caddie.
The tournament will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 on the Dye Course at Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach.
So if you are ready to kick off another great golf season, make plans to attend Monday After the Masters and hopefully you can get in a few rounds of your own while you are here in North myrtle Beach.
