National Golf Management has entered into a one year agreement with LPGA Tour star and model Natalie Gulbis. Gulbis will represent NGM on the LPGA Tour and will also be a part-time resident on the Grand Strand this year.
Gulbis will be the spokeswoman for NGM and the 22 golf courses it owns or operates. The company anticipates the partnership extending beyond 2014. She is a California native and a resident of Las Vegas and she will be making Pawleys Plantation her East Coast second home.
“Over the next couple of years I think I’ll be spending a lot of time there,” Gulbis said. “A good chunk of the schedule is on the East Coast and I’ve been looking for a place to practice and play during off weeks. I needed a home away from the West Coast, and there are such a lot of good golf courses in a small area there and I’m a beach girl, so it’s the perfect place for me.”
Sports Illustrated featured Gulbis in its 2012 swimsuit issue. She also had a Golf Channel reality show in the mid-2000s, was a contestant om Celebrity Apprentice in 2009 and had an annual calendar for a few years. She now is a big supporter of a Las Vegas Boys and Girls Club in her name.
Gulbis expects to play in between 18 and 23 LPGA tournaments this year.
