The best in the state’s golf industry for 2013 are located on the Grand Strand.
The South Carolina Golf Course Owners Association has named National Golf Management regional operations manager Frank Coughlin and Barefoot Resorts Dye Club the state employee and golf course of the year respectively.
The two qualified to be considered for the award after being named employee and golf course of the year by the Myrtle Beach Golf Course Owners Association. They were chosen by the state organization’s five board members on its awards committee.
“This was a big year from Myrtle Beach. It had two great winners,” said Terry Sedalik, executive director of the S.C. Golf Course Owners Association. “We had a lot or positive feedback on Frank Coughlin as employee of the year, and the Dye Club at Barefoot Resort did a great presentation and it impressed everybody on the board with what they’ve accomplished the past couple years. So we were very happy with the picks.”
