In today’s article, we will be discussing a list of attractions and activites that you and your golf group can jump into when not on the course. Aside from all the amazing golf that Myrtle Beach has to offer, the area is obviously famous for its tourism and attractions. With the amount of people visiting the beach every year, you are sure to never get bored when trying to find something fun to do.
1) Broadway at the Beach
Broadway at the Beach is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Myrtle Beach. It is located in the center of Myrtle next to the airport. At Bradway at the Beach, there are a multitude of restaurants, bars, shops, and even rides. Some of the most famous retaurants include Margaritaville, Wahlburgers, The Grumpy Monk, and more. There is even a comedy bar where you can go and order drinks and watch some of the best local stand up comics. In the middle of Broadway is a nig pond with walking bridges throughout. There’s also mini golf, escape rooms, and boat rides.
2) Barefoot Landing
Barefoot Landing is very similar to Broadway at the Beach. It is located on hwy 17 in North Myrtle Beach and is loaded with tons of outdoor shopping and dining. Here you can even find the Myrtle Beach Safari that was featured on Netflix’s documentary series “Tiger King.” Barefoot Landing offers a great variety of bars, breweries, arcades, and shops. The atmosphere is a little different than Broadway, and more of a spot for locals.
3) Myrtle Beach Strip
If you visit Myrtle Beach and you don’t visit the strip at least once, then you haven’t actually experienced Myrtle Beach. This is where you will find all of the fun nightlife activities. Hundreds of restaurants, bars, boardwalks, and attractions cover the Myrtle Beach Strip. This is an especially entertaining activity during the hot summer nights around 4th of July where you can experience the Myrtle Beach fireworks experience. Here you can walk out onto piers for views, fishing, or grabbing a cone filled with your favorite ice cream.
4) Myrtle Beach Pelicans
Myrtle Beach is home to its very own Minor League Baseball team, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. They are the class A affilliate of the Chicago Cubs and you will be sure to see some future MLB star play here. Players like JAvier Baez, Kris Bryant, and Gleyber Torres of the New York Yankees have all came up through the system. Not only are you getting great baseball, but the Pelicans know how to put on an entertaining show. They are constantly doing games inbetween innings and are always giving away fun prizes. A Pelicans game will definitely be a fun family outing.
5) The Marsh Walk at Murells Inlet
The Marsh Walk is another fun nightlife activity that you and your golf group will definitely enjoy. It consists of a long boardwalk that goes down the side of the marsh bay and has many restaurants and bars to hit. Here you can find the best live music, fireworks, and food. If you visit the Marsh Walk during the day, then you will be able to see the famous Goat Island. This is a small island right off the walk that is filled with goats who live on the is land during the warm summer months. You can also rent jet skis or take a fishing charter out from Murells Inlet.
This list only contains a small amount of fun activities available to you in Myrtle Beach. Some honorable mentions include the Ripley’s Aquarium, Top Golf, Water Parks, and more. In other words, you will never have an ounce of boredom when visiting Myrtle Beach during your next golf vacation!
