Azalea Sands: An Overview
Established in 1972, Azalea Sands is a golf course located just off of Highway 17 in North Myrtle Beach. Designed by Gene Hamm, it is a fun and forgiving course that offers great golf for every skill level of golfer.
With a total yardage of just over 6,000 from the white tees, Azalea Sands plays true to its size. If you’re an experienced golfer, you won’t need to take your driver off the tee on most par 4 holes. This course has a rating slope of 69/122 from the whites. It’s a great course for youth golfers who are learning how to play, or the average golfer looking for a quality round of 18 holes.
One of the best things about Azalea Sands is the engagement the course has with its customers. They are constantly doing things to keep you wanting to come back and play some golf. With daily giveaways, weekly tournaments, or hosting events, there is always something to do over at Azalea Sands golf course.
Another great addition to the course is the new and improved clubhouse. The clubhouse was completely renovated with new furniture, TVs, and a full stocked snack bar.
All in all Azalea Sands is a fun golfing experience that will make you want to go back. A friendly staff, well maintained course, and great food is the perfect equation for an enjoyable day out at the links and Azalea Sands provides all 3 exceptionally well.
