This week’s blog will spotlight a North Myrtle Beach golf course, Beachwood Golf Club.
Beachwood Golf Club is located off of 17 just a few miles north of the Barefoot Landing shopping and tourism center. Beachwood is part of our Local’s favorite golf package that offers players four different courses to play in the North Myrtle Beach area. Prices start at $199 a person and are based on a group of 4 staying 3 nights in a 2 bedroom condo.
The reason Beachwood is a local favorite is that it is known as one of Myrtle Beach’s friendliest courses to play. The staff is dedicated to making your Myrtle Beach golf trip one remember. It is great for players of all skill levels, while also offering a challenge. Designed by Gene Hamm, Beachwood was first opened in 1968 and has been a success ever since.
The course itself winds through towering Carolina Pines, lakes, and beautiful landscape. Unlike many Myrtle Beach golf courses, Beachwood has no housing or buildings surrounding the fairways. Wildlife can be abundant, so make sure your snacks are secure and safe from animals like squirrels, birds, and even the occasional fox!
Beachwood Golf Club features a professional practice facility with a grass teeing area, two putting greens, and practice bunkers. Longtime PGA professional Jim Campbell also offers golf lessons at the practice facility. A fully stocked pro shop and snack bar will also make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your round at Beachwood!
Are you looking for something to do after your round? Barefoot Landing offers many great shops, restaurants, and experiences. This center is beautifully located on the water just a few miles south of Beachwood Golf Club on Highway 17. Here you can walk across bridges from one side to the other while you enjoy some drinks and entertainment.
