Get ready to give your tastebuds a jumpstart with the newest brewery to arrive at Barefoot Landing, Crooked Hammock. This marks the third location for this popular chain created by Rich Garrahan in 2015. Other locations can be found in Delaware. Grand Strand guests and locals will be treated to a unique dining experience with the spot’s laidback vibe and signature brews.
Its indoor and outdoor dining areas are reported to accommodate more than 500 guests. Now, that’s a lot of pints! Recreational activities include bocce ball courts, cornhole for the adults, and a children’s playground for the younger crowd.
The lakeview bar provides a lovely view of the water while you sip on some of the brewery’s great concoctions. Year-round favorites include the South to Somewhere Golden Ale, Beach Escape Session IPA, and the Made in the Shade American IPA. Those with an adventurous palette will enjoy other seasonal offerings such as the Savagely Delicious Triple IPA brewed with Lucky Charms cereal.
Don’t forget about the food! Crooked Hammock has a vast menu of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, main entrees, a kid’s menu, and dessert. Try the Beer Can Chicken or keep it traditional with the Backyard Burger served with American cheese, tomato, lettuce, and kettle sauce. You can’t go wrong with anything on this menu.
So the next time you feel like kicking back in a hammock, head on downtown Barefoot Landing and give this brewery a spin. It has our seal of approval.
