After months of watching the Topgolf building being built and much anticipation, Topgolf Myrtle Beach finally opened its doors to the public last Friday, March 1st! The excitement started back almost a year ago when the building started in April of 2018. We all drove by the corner of Robert Grissom Parkway and 29th Ave North in Myrtle Beach checking on the progress – sometimes daily. We were very excited to see this concept come to fruition in Myrtle Beach.
So, what is Topgolf? Topgolf Myrtle Beach is a cross between entertainment and golf – what it means is FUN. Many different kinds of golf target games can be played all while the guests enjoy food, beverages, and music all in the comfort of the climate controlled covered bays with heaters and fans. The balls have been microchipped, so you will see the accuracy and distance of your shots and of course keep score all on the television screens located in your hitting bay. You can bring your clubs or use their clubs, which are made by Callaway Golf Co. They also have premium clubs, but be aware: there is a $15 charge for this upgrade. In addition to golf games, there is also Jenga and Cornhole, plus they have golf instructors for those that might need a lesson or some tips before their game.
Topgolf Myrtle Beach will be open daily at 9 am and remain open until midnight, except Friday and Saturday, which they will extend the hours until 2 am. The cost per hour for a hitting bay, where you can have up to six players and two observers, ranges depending on the time of day from $25 to $47. If you are interested in a membership, individual memberships are $250/month for unlimited play for six people during membership hours. You have no waiting, additional discounts, club upgrades and some cash prizes for a hole-in-one. They also have corporate memberships starting at $250/month.
Let’s not forget about the food that you can consume while having all this fun at Topgolf Myrtle Beach. They have an extensive chef inspired menu that consists of breakfast & brunch items, food for kids, pizzas, salads, burgers (& sliders!), sandwiches, appetizers and desserts (including donut holes injected with various fillings of your choosing). Beverage choices are also aplenty at Topgolf Myrtle Beach – beer: both draft and bottled, many wine options and of course signature mixed drinks.
It’s all fun and games when visiting this venue, and with Myrtle Beach being the golf capital of the world, we are just extending our reach to include everyone, including Topgolf! Go by and check it out – rain or shine, hot or cold and have a great time.
