Golf Course Spotlight
As part of the Legends Winter Special packages, golfers can choose from any of the five iconic Grand Strand golf courses listed below. In addition to their initial rounds, golfers are also eligible for free replays at any of the courses they’ve already played. These replays can be booked on the day of play and are dependent upon availability!
First on our legendary offering is the majestic Heritage Golf Club. Nestled like a sleeping giant in the historic resort town of Pawley’s Island, Heritage Golf Club is a stunning par-71 masterpiece. Built on the site of the Midway and True-Blue rice plantations, you will feel as if you have journeyed back through time the moment you arrive at this beautiful course. Centuries-old oak trees, sprawling magnolias, freshwater lakes, and rolling marshlands all add to the inescapable southern charm of the Heritage Golf Club. Built by renowned architect Dan Maples, Heritage utilizes the natural curvature of the surrounding terrain to create broad, winding fairways that lead golfers through abandoned rice fields and beautifully landscaped surroundings. With each dreamy journey ultimately ending at undulating Champion Bermuda greens surrounded by sweet-smelling crepe myrtles, camellias, and azaleas.
Designed by golf course architect Tom Doak, the Legends Heathland is one of three majestic courses at the Legends Golf Resort. This paragon of link-style golfing utilizes the natural terrain to duplicate the characteristics of the British Isles—evoking memories of such hallowed names as St. Andrews, Lahinch, and Cruden Bay. From tee one, this 18-hole juggernaut will test your golf skills as you play through the continuous Myrtle Beach breezes while trying to avoid the cavernous deep faced bunkers, streams, and natural hazards.
Next up on our legendary offering is the Legends Moorland. Built-in 1990 by famed course architect, Pete Dye, the Legends Moorland is without exaggeration one of the toughest golf courses on the Eastern Board. When designing this herculean test of golfing prowess, Dye drew upon many of the characteristics used during his design of the PGA West Course. Drastic elevation changes, cavernous bunkers, and multi-level fairways are just a few of the fiendish traps laid throughout this 18-hole leviathan. The course’s signature hole, a 245- yard par 4, features an enormous bunker guarding known affectionately as “Hell’s Half Acre.” If you are looking to test your mettle during your next Grand Strand Golf Getaway, then the Legends Moorland is for you.
Designed by the Legends Group in 1992 and modeled after the layouts of Augusta National and Riviera Country Club, Legends Parkland is a course that truly lives up to its name. This par-72 goliath perfectly captures the essence of the parkland-style course. The thick, rough running alongside the fairways gives the course a stalwart defense, while undulating greens and strategically laid out bunkers limit your shot options.
Situated in the scenic coastal town of Sunset Beach, N.C., Oyster Bay Golf Links has been a staple of the Myrtle Beach golf community for nearly four decades. Built-in 1983 by renowned course architect Dan Maples, Oyster Bay Golf Links is the perfect marriage of challenge and enjoyability. This award-winning course features lush, winding fairways that run along vibrant saltwater marshes and pristine freshwater lakes. Two of the course’s signature par-3’s feature island greens, surrounded by cavernous bunkers and outstanding photo opportunities. This par-70 jewel is as much a treat for the eye as is it is for the soul.
